This type of circuit is less efficient than the full-wave doubler but it is often used in applications where space is limited.

Voltage doublers have many advantages. They are relatively cheap, easy to build, and provide a reliable and efficient way to increase the voltage of an electrical system. With the right components and knowledge, any amateur can construct a voltage doubler circuit and increase the power of their system.
